Apricots :CYANIDE

Apricot seeds harbor almond-shaped kernels within the fruit's stone, containing amygdalin, a compound converted into cyanide by gut enzymes. Cyanide, naturally occurring in small amounts in foods like apples and peaches, can be toxic in high doses, leading to illness or death. Despite some claims suggesting apricot seed cyanide may combat cancer, scientific evidence is lacking, and ingestion may pose risks rather than benefits.
